I have been an active member of the financial community for over 25 years.I am blessed with 3 children — a beautiful daughter and handsome twin boys.

I have a great passion for both my family life and my professional life. In an attempt to increase quality of life in both of these worlds, I decided to go into business for myself. In November 1999, I opened Family & Friends Mortgage, Inc.

Previously, I was the Director of Business Development for a $9 billion bank holding start-up finance company, and I was the Sales Manager for Trans Union Credit Bureau. I was also the Director of Information for the State of Indiana, Department of Financial Institutions, where I held the position of Ethics Officer.

I was on the speaker circuit for over 7 years and taught classes on consumer credit and money management. I also co-authored curricula with the Indiana Department of Education. I am fluent in ASL (American Sign Language) and have integrated this language into my business to better serve the deaf community.

Sarah Sexton
Loan Processor & Office Manager

Sarah is a lifelong resident of Indianapolis graduating from Manual High School. She started her employment as a high school senior working in the accounts transfer division of Sears and Roebuck. After a year at God's Bible School in Cincinnati, Ohio, she rejoined Sears Roebuck as a customer representative and adjustor. Later, she began working at Trans Union Credit Bureau, which is one of the three major credit bureaus in the nation. At Trans Union she met Vicki Overley and followed her to Mid Am Financial learning the mortgage business as a post-closer. She continued as an assistant to the compliance officer at Mid Am Financial until left to become a customer service representative at American Investment Bank.
